Showdown in Motown 2009

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Kicker

Are you a future superstar?

Here’s an opportunity for young and talented singers, musicians, poets, comedians, and dancers to prove you are a future superstar.  The Showdown in Motown is a Detroit talent showcase with prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100.  Celebrity judges will rate the performances with audience participation and pick the winners.

The Showdown in Motown is a competitive talent show to benefit the YouthBuild Detroit program, which prepares disadvantaged young adults to pass the GED, develop leadership and employability skills, and receive on-the-job construction training while building homes for needy families.  Young Detroit Builders, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, is in its 13th year of providing services to youth so that they may rebuild their lives while rebuilding their community.

We are still seeking sponsors who would like to support the program and help make the concert a success.  Several sponsor levels are available as well as table sponsorships.
